EU Projekt: Malen mit den Farben der Erde

EU Project: Painting with the Colours of the Earth
On May 6, 2010 within the framework of the 9th international annual meeting of the European Land and Soil Alliance of European Cities, Towns, Rural Districts and Municipalities, the beginning of the cross-border EU project "Painting with the Colours of the Earth" was triggered in Tulln in Lower Austria.

The cross-border project under the guidance of the Department of Rural Development on the Lower Austrian side and the Masaryk Museum on the Moravian side shall be performed in close cooperation between the participating schools, and it shall include the local municipalities in both countries.

The implementation of the project starts with a series of workshops and leads to a soil colour competition "best common visual piece of art". In this project, the target is as well a close cooperation of the project partners in order to implement the aims of the European Land and Soil Alliance of municipalities and regions, as a voluntary commitment to actively stand for a sustainable treatment of soils.

In the first period, school forms may participate in seminars concerning the topic of „Painting with the Colours of the Earth" at the Soil Colour Creative Center on the Heldenberg after fixing a date with Prof. Irena Racek.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Prof. Irena Racek under: mailto:racek@soilart.eu

Among the participants of the seminars in summer 2010, the participants of the cross-border competition will be selected in a further step. The detailed criteria of selection will be pronounced in time.
